Assemblers - 1st and 2nd Shift - Union, MO

Position Summary

This position is with one of our clients, at their Union, MO facility; Express is recruiting on their behalf. The Assembler builds subassemblies and finished units from work instructions, meeting daily output and quality targets.

Location: Union, MO

Type: Full-Time, hourly, temp-to-hire

Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift; Overtime required

Pay: Starts at $17/hour with at $0.50/hour differential for 2nd shift. Overtime to be paid at time and a half.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble components and finished units from work instructions and bills of material.
• Use hand tools, power tools and bench fixtures accurately and safely.
• Check fit and dimensions with calipers, gauges and go/no-go fixtures; flag anything out of spec.
• Record production counts, lot or serial numbers and inspection results.
• Keep the work area clean and follow all client safety and PPE rules.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Able to read work instructions and assembly drawings, and use a tape measure and calipers.
• Comfortable with hand and power tools and repetitive hands-on work.
• Reliable attendance; willing to work overtime. Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Conditions and Pay

• Stand for a full shift; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Production floor with moderate to loud noise, moving equipment and required PPE.
• $17/hours, plus $0.50 differential on 2nd shift.
