Location: Waterloo, IA Pay: $15.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 PM-3:00 AM Type: Full-Time Opportunity

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Janitor to join a local team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment by cleaning common areas, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and floors. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain common areas and hallways
• Clean floors, restrooms, offices, and classrooms/lecture halls
• Empty trash and replenish supplies as needed
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools provided by the company
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25-35 pounds as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
• Comfortable working with cleaning equipment and supplies

Additional Information:

• Cleaning equipment and supplies are provided
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position
• Third-shift schedule with weekends off
