Console Operator

ADDBAC | Dalton, GA | Onsite Position Summary ADDBAC is seeking an experienced Console Operator to operate and monitor carpet-coating production equipment. This position requires someone who understands coating operations, recognizes quality and equipment issues, and can maintain consistent production while following established safety procedures. Prior carpet-coating or closely related manufacturing equipment experience is required. The successful candidate must bring practical operating knowledge and be ready to contribute after completing site-specific training and authorization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the coating-line console and assigned equipment according to approved procedures and production specifications.
• Review production orders and verify required settings before starting a run.
• Monitor line speed, coating application, temperatures, and other assigned process controls.
• Coordinate with production employees to maintain material flow and consistent product quality.
• Inspect product during production and identify coating defects, processing issues, and material inconsistencies.
• Make authorized adjustments within established operating limits; escalate problems that require maintenance or supervisory assistance.
• Record production quantities, settings, downtime, defects, and other required information accurately.
• Complete required equipment and work-area checks before operation.
• Stop equipment and notify supervision when unsafe conditions, missing guards, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns arise.
• Follow machine-guarding, PPE, and energy-control procedures. Never bypass safeguards or reach into moving equipment.
• Perform cleaning, adjustments, or jam removal only when trained and authorized and after required shutdown and energy-isolation procedures are completed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and communicate equipment conditions and production status during shift handoffs.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience operating carpet-coating equipment or comparable continuous-process manufacturing machinery.
• Working knowledge of production controls, process adjustments, and product-quality checks.
• Ability to recognize abnormal equipment operation and respond appropriately.
• Ability to read production instructions, record information, and perform basic calculations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and clear communication.
• Willingness to complete required equipment-specific training and demonstrate safe operating competency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience operating a carpet-coating console.
• Familiarity with latex application and carpet-backing processes.
• Experience identifying coating defects and reducing production waste.

Physical and Work Requirements Work takes place in a manufacturing environment and involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, and monitoring production equipment. Required PPE must be worn.
