Software Development Manager

Type: PERM Location: Mansfield, TX AND Plano, TX Hybrid onsite 3 days/week (Mon, Tue, Thur)

The priority is a strong Software Engineering Manager who can lead people, drive execution, and provide technical leadership.

• Ownership of the Order Management module
• Legacy applications plus modernization initiatives
• ReactJS frontend
• Python services/microservices
• Kubernetes (K8s)
• Cloud-based environment

Team Structure

• Manage up to 8 team members
• 6 Software Engineers
• 4 Backend Engineers
• 2 Frontend Engineers
• 2 QA Engineers

Core Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven engineering management experience
• Strong architecture background
• Significant project/program delivery experience
• Experience leading teams through complex delivery challenges
• Ability to balance legacy systems with modernization efforts

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years project management experience required
• 3+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices and architecture
• Experience delivering and supporting production systems in complex environments

• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making logical decisions
