Process Engineer

Our client, an advanced manufacturing organization, is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team. As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, the ability to analyze and improve manufacturing process capability, and the drive to collaborate across functions to deliver measurable results. Job Title:Process Engineer Location:Lorain, OH (Onsite) Pay Range: $36 to $40 What's the Job?

• Focus on working safely and supporting a safe work environment while driving process improvements that protect people and operations.
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in plant performance to optimize product volume, yields, and quality in line with business needs.
• Gather and evaluate data, apply statistical techniques to improve process capability, and use root cause/corrective action methods to resolve process challenges.
• Provide technical support for melting, casting, and post-casting processes to strengthen stability and performance.
• Develop plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for process and equipment operation, and provide training to manufacturing personnel as required. What's Needed?
• BS in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or another engineering discipline from an accredited college.
• 1 to 3 years of work experience in Process Engineering.
• Exposure to and basic understanding of melting, casting, and solidification is helpful.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment that supports melting and casting operations.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); ability to apply SPC, DOE, Lean/Six Sigma, mathematics, and statistics to solve complex manufacturing process problems. What's in it for me?
