Head of ShipERP Cloud

About the role ShipERP Cloud is being established as its own division. We need an engineering-led leader who will own its technical direction and delivery, install a disciplined operating rhythm, and make execution predictable for customers and the business. This is a leadership role for someone who has run live SaaS products, not a hands-on coding role. You will need enough technical depth to lead architecture decisions and earn the respect of senior engineers.

Responsibilities

You are accountable for ShipERP Cloud's delivery, technical direction, and operating discipline. Expect roughly 65% division leadership and execution, 25% cross-functional work, and 10% customer and partner engagement. Execution and operating rhythm

• Install and run a clear operating cadence: sprint planning, release management, status reporting, and escalation paths.
• Make delivery predictable: commit realistically, track against commitments, and report progress transparently.
• Enforce operational hygiene across the division, including on-time time entry, accurate project tracking, and adherence to process.
• Lead the separation of ShipERP Cloud from New Product Development

Technical direction

• Own architecture and technical decisions for ShipERP Cloud, within company security and compliance standards.
• Oversee platform reliability, scalability, and cloud operations, including uptime and SLA performance.
• Maintain quality through sound engineering practices: code review, testing, CI/CD, and incident management.

People and organization

• Lead a ~40-person team, most of it based in the Philippines, through team leads and managers.
• Build a strong Philippines leadership layer that runs day-to-day execution reliably.
• Set clear expectations, hold people accountable, and develop talent.

Product and cross-functional leadership

• Co-own the ShipERP Cloud roadmap with the Senior Product Manager, translating priorities into executable plans.
• Partner with Professional Services, Sales, and executive leadership on delivery, deals, and customer commitments.
• Engage directly with customers on escalations and technical and roadmap briefings, and with partners in the Oracle ecosystem.

Qualifications

Required

• 10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years leading engineering organizations of 25+ people through managers or team leads.
• Proven ownership of a live, multi-tenant SaaS product with paying customers, SLAs, and production support.
• Strong cloud operations background: reliability, scalability, incident management, and CI/CD.
• Technical depth in PHP, Python, Docker, Docker Compose, Aurora DB (MySQL), MongoDB, and Kubernetes, sufficient to lead architecture decisions and challenge engineering approaches.
• Proven experience operating production SaaS on AWS, including EKS-based Kubernetes deployments.
• Direct leadership of offshore engineering teams, ideally in the Philippines, as employees rather than through a vendor.
• A track record of installing process and accountability in teams, with measurable improvements in delivery predictability.
• Clear, credible communication with executives, customers, and cross-functional peers.

Preferred

• Shipping, multi-carrier parcel, TMS, or logistics software experience.
• Oracle ERP or Oracle Cloud ecosystem experience.
• Experience in a mid-sized software company where leaders work close to the details.
