Equifax is seeking creative, high-energy and driven Senior Software Engineers with hands-on development skills to work on a variety of meaningful projects. Our software engineering positions provide you the opportunity to join a team of talented engineers working with leading-edge technology. You are ideal for this position if you are a forward-thinking, committed, and enthusiastic software engineer who is passionate about technology.

  • This position is based out of our Alpharetta, Georgia office.
  • We believe great things happen when teams connect. Our schedule is built around 4 days of high-impact, in-office collaboration (Monday–Thursday), paired with Friday Flexibility to wrap up your week remotely.
  • This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.
  • This position is not open to third-party vendors or C2C.
  • In person interviews are required.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and operate high-scale conversational AI applications, virtual agents, and interactive assistants.
  • Architect multi-turn dialogue flows, state management, context retention, and intent/entity routing.
  • Design, deploy, test, and maintain serverless fulfillment webhooks, microservices, and backend APIs.
  • Build, maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for building, testing, and deploying virtual agent configurations and fulfillment services.
  • Establish enterprise security, identity management, and data encryption controls across conversational platforms and integrations.
  • Build scalable pipelines for conversational data, telemetry, analytics, and knowledge store integrations (e.g., RAG patterns).
  • Apply modern software development practices (serverless computing, microservices architecture, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code).
  • Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to turn business requirements into production-ready virtual agents.
  • Work across teams to integrate conversational interfaces with enterprise databases, CRMs, and internal systems.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve performance bottlenecks across webhooks and service integrations.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables within a collaborative engineering environment.
  • Actively participate in Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and Agile team activity.

What experience you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience building scalable, cloud-native solutions.
  • 5+ years experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting production code in mainstream languages (e.g., Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Java).
  • 5+ years experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) using serverless computing or containerized environments.
  • Any amount of experience designing, building, and deploying conversational AI solutions using enterprise platforms (e.g., Dialogflow, AWS Lex, Azure Bot Service, Rasa, or custom LLM frameworks).
  • Experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code concepts (e.g., Terraform).
  • Experience designing and consuming REST/gRPC APIs, webhooks, and middleware integration patterns.

What could set you apart

  • AI Tooling & Generative AI: Experience with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), agentic architectures, tool/function-calling, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
  • Advanced DevOps: Deep expertise customizing Jenkins shared libraries, automated test integration within CI/CD pipelines, and Helm Charts.
  • Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Experience integrating voice channels, Speech-to-Text (STT), Text-to-Speech (TTS), or telephony platforms (e.g., Twilio, Genesys).
  • Experience with big data processing, streaming analytics, or data pipeline tools (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Airflow).
  • Deep understanding of automated testing frameworks for conversational flows, webhooks, and REST APIs.
  • Self-starter that identifies and responds to priority shifts and complex architecture challenges with minimal supervision.

We offer comprehensive compensation and healthcare packages, 401k matching, paid time off, and organizational growth potential through our online learning platform with guided career tracks.
