Mechanical Engineer # Mechanical Engineer Plymouth, MI 48170 Apply Apply ## Description POSITION DESCRIPTION P osition Title: Mechanical Engineer Department: Product Development Classification: Exempt Full-Time Approved By: Human Resources REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Position Reports To: Vice President of Engineering Positions Supervised: None POSITION PURPOSE The Mechanical Engineer for EOTECH, LLC in Plymouth, MI will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment and machinery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES - Designs products such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robots. - Works with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans. - Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product. - Produces specifications for products and chooses raw materials and components to be used in production. - Builds models and prototypes of the product and tests the design. - Studies the test data and makes comparisons with similar designs. - Develops control systems and monitors production. - Maintain high level of technical competence and state-of-the-art awareness. - US Citizenship Required NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
