Original job description
Skilled Industrial Painter needed to apply protective and decorative coatings to metal and other industrial surfaces using spray equipment. The ideal candidate has experience with airless and conventional spray guns, understands surface preparation techniques, and is committed to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, blasting, masking, and priming
Mix and match paints, coatings, and finishes according to specifications
Operate airless and conventional spray guns to apply coatings evenly and efficiently
Apply primers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and other industrial coatings
Inspect finished surfaces for runs, drips, thin spots, and defects
Maintain spray equipment, hoses, and compressors
Follow safety procedures related to ventilation, PPE, and hazardous materials
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and coating specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area
