Construction Project Director

In this role, you'll oversee ECL's own projects (like expanding our flagship facility in Austin, TX), and will act as a liaison to our clients, supplying guidance and project oversight as they build their own cloud labs. The Construction Project Director will also work with contract manufacturers to build supply chains, fabrication, logistics, and installation support for ECL-designed fixtures.

This role can be seated in Austin as a hybrid role; or anywhere in the US, with the expectation of regular travel to ECL and client sites (up to 25%).

  • Capture lessons learned from the Austin build and feed them back into the company’s architectural program and construction standards

  • Guide clients and their internal teams on correct implementation of the program
  • Review client drawings, specifications, schedules, and submittals for conformance with the program
  • Conduct site visits and progress reviews at client projects

  • Identify opportunities to supply company-fabricated MEP equipment to client projects, working with sales and leadership on scoping and proposals

  • Manage relationship with selected contract manufacturer
  • Develop cost-effective logistics options to transport fixtures to construction sites
  • Coordinate with site general contractors – whether our own or client – to have the appropriate trades available to install required fixtures
  • Liaise with contract manufacturer, in-house design, and on-site installers to improve and refine the design and fabrication of the fixtures
