DELTA DENTAL: Senior Epic Systems Analyst

As a Senior Epic System Analyst - Reporting and Analytics, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing reporting and analytics solutions within the Epic EHR environment. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Epic reporting tools, data structures, and analytics to enhance decision-making processes and support our organization's commitment to data-driven healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Driving the analytics implementation to meet organizational goals and initiatives
• Measuring ongoing success of analytics after GoLive and making necessary adjustments
• Reviewing upgrade documentation related to analytics tools and content and determining how to implement, disseminate, and train the changes
• Assisting the Business Intelligence Developers in identifying the right solution for each request
• Configuring and testing Epic released and Foundation System content for all applications, including Reporting Workbench SlicerDicer Radar Cogito SQL
• Creating content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle
• Writing SQL and configuring Radar settings for custom SQL metrics
• Creating new reports and modifying existing reports, as necessary
• Distributing analytics content to data consumers
• Reviewing peer reports for validity
• Working with subject matter experts to understand the needs of data consumers
• Maintaining the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records
• Testing analytics build in a specified testing environment and volume testing in live environments
• Reviewing upgrade documentation related to Cogito features and determining how to implement the changes BIDs might also be responsible for building and maintaining:
• Cubes Extracts
• SlicerDicer custom filters
• Thirdparty BI tools
• Epic data in Caboodle
• Analyzing nonCaboodle datasets to identify required data elements to be moved into Caboodle
• Mapping nonEpic datasets to existing database structures within Caboodle
• Designing and developing custom database structures within Caboodle as needed
• Coordinating the implementation and longterm support activities related to aggregating claims from the external payer sources into Caboodle.
