Location: 76 Acco Drive, York, PA 17402

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Drive Quality. Lead Improvement. Make an Impact.

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement projects, and support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role offers a unique balance of both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, with approximately 50% of your time spent on the production floor and 50% focused on data analysis, reporting, and project leadership.

If you are a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, leading improvement efforts, and collaborating across departments to deliver measurable results, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of quality systems, driving operational excellence, and leading continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and ISO 9001 guidelines.
Manage plant-specific quality documentation, procedures, and specifications.
Support audits and prepare the facility for external certification and customer audits.
Assist with new product development, testing, and quality specification development.

Continuous Improvement

Lead quality and operational improvement projects focused on reducing waste, improving performance, and lowering costs.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives across the organization.
Develop and implement standardized work practices and best-in-class quality processes.
Serve as a change agent by promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Collect, analyze, and interpret quality and manufacturing data.
Utilize statistical methods to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
Prepare and present reports, project updates, and executive-level summaries.
Support decision-making with data-driven recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
Support supplier and customer quality issue resolution.
Collaborate with a Quality Technician who manages day-to-day quality escapes and containment activities.
Influence stakeholders to drive sustainable quality improvements.

Training & Development

Train employees on quality systems, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Mentor team members on problem-solving tools and best practices.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Spend time on the manufacturing floor supporting quality initiatives and engaging with production teams.
Review quality metrics, customer claims, and system performance.
Lead improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing defects.
Analyze data and present findings to leadership.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure processes are performing as intended and driving continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Technical Discipline, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a formal Quality role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing.
Experience leading continuous improvement or quality improvement projects for at least one year.
Knowledge of core quality tools such as:
PPAP
FMEA

Candidates should be comfortable working in a production environment that may include exposure to machinery, noise, temperature variations, dust, and other industrial conditions. Appropriate PPE will be required while on the production floor.

401k with a company match
PTO Hours are accrued from Day 1
