At eBay, being part of the Authentication Operations team means you're joining an exceptionally innovative and passion-filled environment. This team has successfully launched authentication services for watches, handbags, sneakers, trading cards, jewelry, and apparel in multiple global markets within just four years. We are a diverse and dedicated team that ensures a world-class authentication service for our customers!

About the team and the role:

You will be joining the Global Facility Operations team in Moonachie, NJ, reporting to the Watch Authentication Manager. Your role involves examining, processing, and authenticating luxury timepieces sold via our online marketplace. Collaborate with internal and external partners to align with eBay’s principles and business goals.

Schedule: Mon - Fri | 9-6pm EST | OT when needed.

What you will accomplish:

• Evaluate preloved and new products from luxury watch brands to ensure their authenticity
• Perform inspection to confirm the item’s description and condition are consistent
• Report counterfeit items with succinct and specific findings
• Stay updated on current brand trends and developments
• Achieve daily quality metrics and efficiency goals
• Communicate proactively with managers about daily activities and obstacles
• Maintain integrity, trustworthiness, and respect for the product
• Ensure constant compliance with health & safety requirements in the work area
• Identify trends in counterfeits, including designers and styles

Additional Job Elements:

• This role is on-site Monday to Friday, with overtime as required based on business needs.

What you will bring:

• 2-5+ years of experience in luxury watch operations, including brand, model, movement, and material identification
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to work independently and influence others
• Effective collaboration in teams to meet shared goals and deadlines, encouraging cross-functional partnerships
• Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing needs and priorities
• Keen interest in the luxury watch industry, including emerging trends

Pay: $23.50/hour

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: $35,600 - $62,500 Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
