Teaches district-approved curriculum Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and adapts the curriculum to the needs of individual students Establishes and communicates clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects Evaluates students’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records Establishes and maintains standards for student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere Creates a safe, welcoming, and flexible learning environment Coordinates and collaborates with other professional staff members Encourages parental involvement in students’ education and ensures effective communication with students and parents Maintains professional competence through professional development activities provided by

the district, professional meetings, and/or self- selected professional growth

Bachelor’s Degree in Education Required • Michigan Math Endorsement (EX/RX)
