Bus Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This full-time position requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and adherence to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bus to transport passengers along designated routes in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers by following all safety protocols and providing assistance as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
• Collect fares and issue tickets, if applicable, while providing information about routes and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding any issues or delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially those with disabilities or special needs.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues to management immediately.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
• Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
