The Systems Administrator is responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting ESPH’s server, cloud, and identity infrastructure. This role ensures that all systems remain secure, reliable, and optimized to support organizational operations across multiple locations. Key responsibilities include managing virtualized environments, Microsoft cloud services, directory services, endpoint management platforms, and monitoring systems.

The Systems Administrator also serves as an escalation point for advanced troubleshooting, complex technical issues, and infrastructure-related service requests. This position collaborates closely with Cyber Security, Networking, Service Desk, and other IT teams to ensure a strong technology foundation for the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Endpoint Management: Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune profiles, compliance policies, Windows Autopilot, and mobile device management.
  • Cloud & Server Infrastructure: Manage Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams) and install, patch, and maintain Windows Server systems.
  • Network & Security Operations: Troubleshoot multi-site network connectivity (VLANs, routing, firewalls, Cisco tech) and implement system-hardening best practices.
  • Virtualization & Backup: Support VMware/Nutanix environments and manage enterprise backup/recovery solutions (Veeam).
  • Automation: Develop PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API scripts to automate routine tasks and eliminate manual administration.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings the experience, skills, and commitment needed to succeed in this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of professional systems administration or infrastructure experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft cloud technologies and virtualization platforms.
  • Experience administering Linux server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting (Preferred)
  • Experience with endpoint management, monitoring, and backup systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts and automation to support system administration, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, root-cause troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and clear, concise communication abilities.
  • A holistic troubleshooting mindset - you can trace an issue from the endpoint through the network to the cloud.
  • Strong grasp of core infrastructure: DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, TCP/IP, and PKI/certificates.
  • Preferred Certifications such as:
  • Microsoft (AZ-104, MS-102, SC-900/SC-300)
  • VMware or Hyper-V certifications
  • CompTIA Network+/Security+/CySA+
