Location: Burgaw, NC

Schedule: Part-time | 12.5 hour shifts, 3 days per week

Pay: $20/hour

Work Setting: On-site at a 24-hour respite care home

Do you want work that makes a meaningful difference in your community? Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join Henry’s House in Burgaw, NC.

As a Direct Support Professional at Henry’s House, every day is a chance to make someone's day a little brighter! While primary caregivers enjoy a well-deserved break, participants can have fun, build friendships, and enjoy activities tailored to their interests and abilities at Henry’s House. We offer a welcoming environment where participants can engage in arts and crafts, music and movement, modified exercise, community outings, social skills development, and other participant-selected activities designed to promote social and emotional well-being.

• Help with lifting, transfers, and mobility as needed
• Ensure member health, safety, and well-being at all times
• Assist with medication administration and documentation
• Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports
• Work as part of a supportive, mission-driven team

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings the experience, skills, and commitment needed to succeed in this role.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s license, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!
