Custodian

EASTCONN is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our Hampton Admnistrative Offices. This position is scheduled for 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, for a 12-month period. The ideal candidate will take pride in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces. Duties may include outdoor winter work.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and ensure proper hygiene standards.

• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.

• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

• Assist with minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or replacing air filters, as needed.

• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored properly.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds, standing, and bending for extended periods.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to adhere to a consistent schedule.

• Must pass a background check.
