Coordinator, Safety

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that safety programs are in compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations. Assists in regulatory compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies to achieve company safety objectives. Responsible for maintaining accurate OSHA 300 logs and reports. Ensures the coordination and training of managers and employees of work site safety and practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other material. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a safety related manufacturing environment. Considerable knowledge of safety principles and practices with the ability to identify and recognize unsafe conditions or work practices. Must have the ability to work independently and display creativity, exercise sound judgment, demonstrate initiative, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
