School Crossing Guard

The Dunkirk City School District is looking for a responsible part-time person for the exercise of considerable vigilance in directing traffic for the protection of children going to and from school. Work is performed independently with only occasional direction from a superior.

You would assist children in crossing the street, instruct children concerning proper places for crossing street and precautions that are to be observed, and direct traffic at school crossings.

Successful candidates will posess good general intelligence, the ability to deal with the public using firmness and tact, the ability to get along well with children, familiarity with first-aide methods, good powers of observation, and must be 21 years of age or older.

This is a 3-hour per day split shift, Monday-Friday, when school is in session. The hours are 7:15 to 8:45 am AND 1:45 to 3:15 pm.
