SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (JOB CODE R104) TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING JOB DUTIES: Design and implement complex applications and systems to satisfy demanding business requirements using strong technical skills and understanding of real-time system architecture and performance. Apply advanced quantitative skills to understand and productionize research for use in trading options using strong quantitative skills and business domain knowledge. Take the lead on projects from design through implementation, deployment, and support. Leverage strong business knowledge in order to collaborate with stakeholders in identifying risks and opportunities, informing priorities and project selection as well as proposing solutions. Lead by example in adhering to standards and best practices and conducting smooth deployments. Mentor junior developers. Telecommuting up to 2 days a week.Minimum Requirements:Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of industry experience developing trading systems. Special Skills: Education or experience must include: 1. Modern C++ and/or Java experience in the trading industry;2. Profiling and performance optimization in low latency and high throughput applications;3. Applied Linear Algebra and Calculus in the trading industry;4. Distributed systems architecture;5. Multithreading/concurrent programming;6. Linux kernel and CPU hardware knowledge; and 7.
