Original job description

Production Material Handler

Location: Waukesha County, WI Employment Type: Full-Time

Behind Every Smooth Production Run Is Someone Keeping Things Moving.

Diversified Personnel Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Production Material Handler to join an established manufacturing operation in the Waukesha County area.

This isn't your typical warehouse position. You'll work directly with manufacturing teams to keep materials organized, equipment supplied, and production running without unnecessary interruptions. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and taking ownership of their responsibilities.

What You'll Be Doing

Your primary focus will be making sure production has everything it needs to operate efficiently. This includes:

• Coordinating the movement and availability of materials throughout the manufacturing floor.

• Preparing materials and work areas for upcoming production runs.

• Monitoring supplies and replenishing materials to keep production on schedule.

• Assisting with equipment preparation, material changes, and general production support.

• Using computerized systems to track inventory and maintain accurate records.

• Operating forklifts and other equipment to safely transport materials.

• Identifying material shortages or discrepancies and communicating concerns to the appropriate team members.

• Helping maintain an organized, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment.

What You'll Bring

• 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, material handling, or warehouse operations.

• Solid forklift operating experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

• Confidence using computers and learning inventory management systems.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep track of multiple priorities.

• Basic math skills and the ability to follow written work instructions.

• A dependable work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to communicate effectively and adjust to changing production demands.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

What to Expect

This is an active, hands-on position within a manufacturing environment. You'll spend much of your shift on your feet, moving between work areas and lifting materials weighing up to 60 pounds. The position requires flexibility to support production needs, including occasional overtime.

Ready to Get Moving?

If you're an experienced material handler who likes being part of the action rather than sitting behind a desk, we'd like to connect with you!
