Application Developer SME (Containerized Applications Specialist)

Digital Consultants is seeking a Containerized Applications Specialist SME Software Engineer for this effort will be responsible for assisting Mission Application developers with converting existing applications to use a containerization-oriented application paradigm, structuring such applications for readiness in SCCA-compliant environments and ensuring compatibility with tools and technologies at a high level in order to support deployment against various environments and toolsets.

Location: Quantico, VA. Hybrid remote schedule. Must be local and able to meet onsite 1-2 times per week or as required.

Requirements

• Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
• High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
• Expertise in Secure Software Development across a full-stack domain, including database (relational and NoSQL) and application development (compiled and interpreted languages) with a focus on developing apps for containerization
• Expertise in managing/maintaining container configuration IAC components such as DockerFiles and integrating such capabilities with source control and CI/CD solutions (GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps etc)
• Expertise in integrating applications with Service Mesh and Discovery tools such as HashiCorp Consul, Apache Zookeeper, AWS Cloud Map, or similar
• Expertise with secure credential management for applications (such as BitWarden, HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, and similar)
• Candidates must be comfortable applying software engineering principles to disparate languages, operating systems, and hosting environments holistically, learning new technologies as needed to support emergent mission needs, and providing guidance to Mission Application developers to build a culture of implementation-agnostic development across the enterprise

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Expertise with developing and maintaining microservices.

Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $180,000 – 190,000 depending on experience. The company offers the following benefits to permanent, full-time employees:
