CO2/Top/Stacker

The Co2 Top Stacker is responsible for stacking, organizing, and monitoring the products or racks entering or exiting a Co2 chilling/freezing system to ensure proper cooling, product quality, and line flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Stack trays, boxes, or racks on top of the Co2 line or conveyor belt
• Ensure product is properly aligned and evenly stacked
• Monitor product movement through the Co2 tunnel or freezer
• Remove jammed, fallen, or misaligned product to prevent line stoppage
• Communicate with line leads or supervisors if issues arise
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation around the CO2 system
• Follow food safety, PPE, and lockout/tag out procedures
• Work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments
• Lift, push, or pull items (40-70 pounds)

Safety Duties

• Wear required PPE (gloves, apron, face shield, thermal gear)
• Stay alert to Co2 exposure risks
• Understand emergency shut-off preocedure
• Follow plant safety and OSHA guidelines

Skills & Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-12 hours)
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Basic communication skills
• Ability to work in cold temperatures
