Original job description

The Company Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And we're just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. To continue what we've started: Improving human health.

We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. We've already changed millions of lives and we're ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. We'll get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though we've come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.

Meet the team:

At Dexcom, our patient’s satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to enable people to take control of their health - an enrichment of life that also extends to our patients’ friends, families, and significant others. This role requires a highly skilled candidate who moves fast, thrives in ambiguity and change, and can break down and solve complex problems while partnering cross‑functionally across organizations and processes.

The Operations Intelligence and Watson team are a highly agile team that embraces innovation to scale business analytic products primarily for Operations (Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality) and R&D. In this role, you will partner with data engineers and stakeholders to provide actionable insights and key operating metrics across Dexcom.

The Business Intelligence Analyst II supports Manufacturing Operations by delivering accurate, timely, and standardized analytics that enable data‑driven decision‑making across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role focuses on applying foundational BI competencies to develop dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses using established tools, data models, and governance standards. Working under the guidance of Senior and Staff BI analysts, this role partners closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations teams to translate business questions into clear reporting and insights while developing deeper technical and analytical skills aligned to the BI Analyst competency framework

In addition, this role is expected to lead complex analytics and reporting efforts, oversee junior BI members, and support operational efficiencies and strategic planning through standardized, automated reporting and insights.

What makes you successful:

You will develop and maintain basic to moderately complex dashboards and reports using approved BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI.
You will enhance and update existing dashboards based on stakeholder feedback and defined business requirements.
You will validate metrics and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational KPIs.
You will troubleshoot dashboard and data issues, resolving routine problems and escalating complex ones when needed.
You will write and maintain basic to intermediate SQL queries, including joins, filters, and aggregations, to support reporting and analytics.
You will verify query results against source system data to ensure data correctness and completeness.
You will document data sources, definitions, reporting logic, requirements, assumptions, and business rules.
You will apply descriptive statistics to analyze manufacturing performance trends, variations, and operational patterns.
You will create trend analyses, performance comparisons, and SPC-style visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
You will communicate analytical insights, findings, and limitations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations teams to support reporting and analytics initiatives tied to safety, quality, delivery, yield, and cost performance.
You will continuously build expertise in BI tools, SQL, cloud data platforms, data governance, and best practices while incorporating feedback from senior analysts.

Required Qualifications

You have a working knowledge of SQL, including joins, filters, and aggregations.
You have strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, quality, and consistency.
You have effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate in cross-functional environments.
