Sr. Human Factors Engineer

Job Duties

We are seeking an experienced Human Factors Engineer to support the development of a Class III implantable Medical Device system. This role will lead human factors activities focused on usability validation, use-related risk analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional product development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute human factors/usability validation studies, including protocol development, study execution, data analysis, and report writing.
• Develop and maintain Use-Related Risk Analyses (URRA) and other human factors deliverables.
• Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Design teams to identify and mitigate use-related risks and support design improvements.
• Apply human-centered design principles throughout product development.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelors Degree

Minimum Experience Required

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of human factors/usability engineering experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Strong experience conducting usability validation testing.
• Experience authoring and maintaining URRA documentation.
• Knowledge of FDA Human Factors Guidance, IEC 62366, and ISO 14971 preferred.
• Experience with Class III or implantable medical devices highly preferred.
