Summary Seeking an individual to join Derrick Corporation's Engineering team. We are looking for candidates that have a passion for solving problems and that enjoys hands on work.
Responsibilities
- Design of mechanical systems both from scratch as well as improvements to existing designs
- 3D CAD modeling and 2D manufacturing drawing creation
- Assembly of systems using hand tools
- Test running and troubleshooting of automated machinery
- Repair and teardown of existing machinery
- Light fabrication using power tools such as drills, grinders, saws, Bridgeport and welding
Qualifications
- Pursing Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience using both 2D and 3D CAD programs
- Ability to develop creative solutions to difficult problems
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- An understanding of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems fundamentals
- MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
