Substitute Teacher Aide

Job Description:

• Assist students' transition throughout the building.
• Assist with monitoring students during reading instruction.
• Meet with students at the bus before and after school.
• Monitoring students for toileting needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to establish good relationships and get along with children; maintain order and enforce school regulations.
• Ability to get along with teachers, administrators and staff.
• Good power of observation; dependability; neat personal appearance; tact; courtesy; and good judgment.
• Prior experience caring for students with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; OR
• Four (4) years experience in the care and supervision of children; OR
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (1) and (2)
