Original job description
Do you love telling great stories, juggling a lot of moving pieces, and seeing your work come to life? We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. You’ll help shape how we present our projects, people, and purpose to clients, partners, and the community. This is a fast-paced, creative role with a lot of variety.
About the Team
You’ll join a team of six people who work together on everything from client pursuits to brand storytelling. We share ideas, pitch in for each other when deadlines stack up, and celebrate wins together. Because the team is small and the work is broad, you won’t be boxed into one lane. You’ll take part in a wide range of projects, build skills across content, design, events, and digital channels, and have plenty of room to bring new ideas forward and grow.
What You’ll Do
Proposals and Pursuits
- Work with in-house experts and project leaders to create and produce responses to qualifications, proposals, presentations, and other materials for specific project pursuits.
- Drive project timelines and coordinate activities so submissions are polished, on brand, and delivered on time.
- Serve as a go-to resource for department and project team requests for marketing support.
Content and Storytelling
- Research, write, and produce original written and visual content for internal and external audiences, including social media, newsletters, our website, magazines, presentations, award submissions, external publications, and authored articles.
- Conduct interviews and research to build and maintain a strong working knowledge of our people, projects, and involvement in the industry and community.
- Track key project dates, milestones, and stories from construction teams located throughout the greater Seattle area.
Business Development and Data
- Support information management and business development efforts through CRM management and database organization and upkeep.
Events and Jobsite Support
- Help coordinate events, including logistics, communications, vendors, and budget.
- Provide jobsite support, which may include managing neighborhood communications, site signage, and photography.
What You’ll Bring
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of marketing or communications experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry or a professional services field is strongly preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
- Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to turn technical details into clear, engaging stories.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign. Graphic design and layout skills are a plus.
How You Work
- You pay close attention to detail and take pride in delivering quality work on time.
- You work well independently and as part of a creative team.
- You thrive in a challenging, energizing, fast-paced environment.
- You ask good questions to understand the goal before you dive in.
- You’re flexible, forward-thinking, and enjoy building collaborative relationships.
Work Environment
This role is based in our office, with regular time spent moving around the office and visiting active construction jobsites to meet with teams, gather stories, and take photos. Occasional local travel is required for jobsite meetings and trainings. The position involves sitting at a desk roughly half of the time and regular use of standard office equipment.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Variety: Proposals, writing, design, events, photography, and digital content all in one role.
- Impact: Your work directly supports winning new projects and sharing the stories behind the buildings that shape our region.
- Team: A supportive team of six that values creativity, collaboration, and fresh ideas.
- Growth: Exposure to all parts of the marketing function and to leaders across the business, with room to expand your skills.
- Real-world connection: Get out of the office and onto jobsites to see projects take shape firsthand.
Compensation
The full pay range for this position is $32.25 per hour to $42.50 per hour. New hires typically start between $32.25 per hour and $38.00 per hour, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications. The bonus target for this role is 5% of annual base pay.
If you’re a creative communicator who loves variety and wants to be part of a collaborative, energetic team, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your resume, a cover letter, and two or three writing or design samples that show your range.
