Host/Hostess at Azabu

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests with a positive and professional attitude.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the restaurant's reservation system.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Maintain accurate wait times and communicate delays to guests.
• Coordinate seating arrangements with servers and managers to ensure efficient table rotation.
• Answer telephone calls and assist with guest inquiries regarding hours, reservations, and restaurant information.
• Assist with special requests and guest accommodations whenever possible.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas.
• Support restaurant operations by assisting with menu presentation, guest flow, and general hospitality needs.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and service standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or retail experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm and organized during busy service periods.
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer and reservation system skills preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
