Original job description

Position overview Deep Launching, Inc. seeks a solutions-oriented Fulfillment and Logistics Manager for its Charles County ProduceRx program. This part-time role coordinates approved produce-prescription orders with suppliers and oversees the delivery of prepared produce boxes to patients doorsteps. Responsibilities include driver supervision, supplier and Project DASH coordination, routing technology, delivery tracking, and resolving service issues. Suppliers prepare and pack boxes; direct produce handling is occasional (approximately 10-15% of duties), primarily for missed deliveries. ## Key responsibilities Coordinate with the Client Navigator to obtain approved produce prescriptions, box selections, patient delivery details, and fulfillment schedules; share delivery results and exceptions for patient follow-up. Place produce-box orders with approved suppliers based on authorized prescriptions; verify supplier confirmations for correct box type, quantities, dates, and delivery assignments. Resolve supplier order discrepancies, shortages, and proposed substitutions through required approval channels; document corrections without making clinical prescription decisions. Coordinate supplier pickups, driver assignments, delivery schedules, and efficient doorstep routes using the programs routing and tracking systems. Supervise the delivery driver and oversee supplier and Project DASH delivery performance, safe handoffs, and proof of delivery. Troubleshoot delays, missed deliveries, incorrect orders, and other exceptions; coordinate approved redeliveries and escalate significant issues to the Program Director. Maintain and reconcile electronic order, fulfillment, and delivery records; provide concise updates on delivery completion, exceptions, and supplier performance. Assist occasionally with receiving, short-term holding, or transferring undelivered boxes under food-safety procedures (approximately 10-15% of duties). ## Required qualifications Experience coordinating delivery operations, transportation logistics, dispatching, route scheduling, or a related function. Previous supervisory or team-lead experience, including the ability to direct and support a driver. Strong problem-solving, organization, follow-through, and communication skills; able to work well with suppliers, coworkers, delivery partners, and community stakeholders. Comfortable learning and using new software, including routing, delivery-tracking, and recordkeeping systems; willingness to learn Project DASH workflows. Valid drivers license and clean driving record; ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and obtain DOT medical certification. Ability to work a part-time schedule with flexibility around scheduled delivery days and occasional delivery exceptions. ## Preferred qualifications Experience driving a box truck with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 14,500 pounds or greater. Experience using delivery-routing software, electronic proof-of-delivery tools, or coordinating third-party delivery providers. Experience in nonprofit, healthcare-related, food access, or community distribution operations.
