As a Surgical Services Registered Nurse, you will play an important role in providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care while supporting patients throughout their surgical experience. This position also offers opportunities to contribute to cardiac services, quality initiatives, and patient care coordination.
What You'll Do
• Provide nursing care to patients throughout the pre-operative, same-day surgery, and post-operative recovery process.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Coordinate nursing assignments and team schedules to support efficient department operations.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and post-operative care instructions.
• Collaborate with surgeons, providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Assist with cardiac stress testing and outpatient cardiac monitoring.
• Serve as the Chest Pain Accreditation Coordinator.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives, performance metrics, and department-specific projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach and a commitment to teamwork.
Compensation & Additional Incentives
Hourly Pay Range: $33.50 – $50.25
• Potential eligibility for a performance-based bonus, subject to established eligibility requirements and performance metrics.
• Eligible evening, night, and weekend shift incentives based on applicable job codes and company policies.
Additional details regarding bonus and incentive eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
