About DataMap
DataMap.ai is an AI-first technology consulting and solutions company focused on enterprise systems and automation. We build applications, implement ERP platforms, and provide managed services and production support at scale. Our clients include Fortune 500 enterprises and high-growth companies such as Google. They rely on us to modernize operations and automate workflows in ways that produce measurable business value.
DataMap is growing fast. We value innovation and collaboration, we work with urgency, and we reward speed, precision, and accountability. Teams here have the authority to solve complex enterprise problems and deliver results.
Why Join DataMap
At DataMap, projects run the way we expect every project to run in five years, with AI copilots drafting plans, surfacing risks, and writing first-draft status reports. Your job is to keep that setup running while you learn project management from the inside. AI tools handle the routine drafting, which leaves you more time for judgment, communication, and follow-through, and for checking every AI draft before it reaches your project manager.
You'll work alongside project managers, functional consultants, and DataMap leadership on every type of work we run, so you learn from the people whose jobs you're training for.
Role Overview
As a Project Coordinator, you'll support the project managers on your assigned projects. Project management at DataMap owns the management of all of our work, which covers everything: customer work, partner work, partnership growth, internal projects, and operations projects. Projects range from implementations of partner platforms for enterprise clients and development of the products and customer portals we build and sell (Positron, RoboApprover, Itemova EDI SaaS) to the partnership-growth, internal, and operations projects that make DataMap run and grow.
You keep the project record and logistics current (schedules, action items, documentation, and meeting cadence) so your project managers can focus on delivery and the client. You work independently on assigned tasks, collaborate as part of a team, and escalate to the project manager for guidance. Business development and commercial conversations stay with the project managers you support.
You will use AI tools every day, and we'll train you on DataMap's AI-first delivery playbook.
Your Growth Path
Project management at DataMap has a defined five-level ladder that runs from delivery support to leading the practice: Project Coordinator, Senior Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Director of Project Management. We post every level and promote from within, and moving up depends on performance and on the needs of the business. Beyond the Director level, the path continues into executive leadership, such as DataMap's Vice President, Operations & Delivery.
This is the support seat: you learn delivery by keeping real projects of every type running, with guidance from project managers, Senior Project Coordinators, and consultants. Strong Project Coordinators can grow into Senior Project Coordinator, where they coordinate independently across multiple projects, run delegated workstreams end to end, and mentor newer coordinators. The step after that is Project Manager, where the job moves from supporting the work to managing it. Project Managers go after business development on the projects they are on: they identify leads for new software and service sales, draft the orders, and get customer signatures. They lead their project teams: they proactively engage team members, ask what they're working on, suggest course corrections, and drive business outcomes. Along the way you work on Fortune 500 client engagements and build AI-first skills that carry into every level.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project managers across customer, partner, partnership-growth, internal, and operations work by tracking schedules, dependencies, action items, and meeting cadence.
- Maintain the project record (project plans, trackers, action-item logs, RAID logs, and documentation) with version control, so every team works from one source of truth.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and capture actions and decisions with AI meeting-capture tools, then verify them and follow up with each owner until they close.
- Consolidate project updates into first-draft weekly and monthly status reports with AI, and check each draft before the project manager reviews it.
- Track milestones, deliverables, and governance checkpoints, flag slips early, and escalate missing inputs, issues, and risks to the project manager for guidance.
- Log new work requests in the project record for the project manager to triage.
- Support workshops and user acceptance testing sessions with logistics, materials, and follow-up.
- Coordinate team onboarding, access requests, and communication among team members, functional consultants, and client and partner contacts.
- Apply DataMap's AI-first delivery playbook (meeting capture, first-draft reporting, prompt libraries, workflow templates, and automation patterns) in your daily work.
