Chief Facilities & Operations Manager

Facilities Management - Manage county-wide energy conservation initiatives and utility usage tracking. - Represent the County through participation in the County Commissioners Association of Ohio Energy Consortium Committee. - Conduct inspections of all county-insured facilities to identify existing or potential safety, health, and accident hazards. - Prepare reports of findings and recommendations for the Board of Commissioners and facility stakeholders. - Work with the Commission Board on long term planning for projects, HVAC, repairs, facility maintenance needs, and obsolescence replacement of equipment. Safety Manager Develop, implement, and oversee county-wide safety programs and initiatives, including: Risk management and loss control programs Employee safety training and awareness programs Safety policies, procedures, and best practices Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with: Ohio Revised Code safety regulations Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) requirements Applicable inspection standards and techniques Conduct accident investigations and analyze findings to identify corrective actions. Coordinate and maintain the County's equipment inventory and work with CORSA (County Risk Sharing Authority**)** and insurance underwriters to ensure appropriate coverage. Serve as liaison between County leadership and insurance underwriters regarding liability insurance matters. Manage and coordinate all liability claims in partnership with CORSA. Develop, revise, and recommend county-wide safety and risk management policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of liability and exposure. Develop and administer procedures for reporting liability claims. Investigate liability claims and prepare supporting documentation, evidence, and reports for hearings, litigation, and insurance investigations.
