Original job description
The Impact You'll Make
As a Product Security DevSecOps Engineer, you will help Danfoss scale Product Security across engineering organizations by embedding security directly into development pipelines, toolchains, and software delivery processes.
Working closely with development teams, platform teams, and toolchain owners, you will improve the adoption, automation, and effectiveness of security capabilities across the software development lifecycle. Your focus will be on enabling secure development through modern DevSecOps practices, scalable security tooling, and engineering excellence.
The success of this role is measured by your ability to make security scalable through automation, standardization, self-service capabilities, and secure-by-default engineering platforms that can be adopted consistently across the organization. Your contributions will help strengthen the security of embedded, IoT, cloud-connected, and digital products while supporting efficient and sustainable software delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices across engineering teams by embedding security controls, testing, and governance capabilities into the software development lifecycle to support secure software delivery at scale.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve secure CI/CD capabilities that can be consistently adopted across products, platforms, and development teams, making security an integrated part of everyday engineering workflows.
- Integrate, automate, and optimize security tooling within development pipelines, including application security testing, software composition analysis, container security, artifact security, and software supply chain security capabilities.
- Develop reusable automation, self-service capabilities, and standardized security solutions that reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and enable secure-by-default engineering practices across the organization.
- Partner with development, platform, and toolchain teams to establish scalable security processes, security gates, policies, and integration patterns that support consistent adoption of security capabilities across a diverse engineering landscape.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience building, operating, and improving CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices in software development environments.
- Strong automation and scripting skills using technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
- Experience integrating security tools into development workflows, including areas such as SAST, SCA, container security, software supply chain security, vulnerability management, or secrets detection.
- Understanding of product security for embedded, IoT, industrial, firmware, Linux-based, RTOS-based, or cloud-connected products.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, solve complex technical challenges, and drive scalable security improvements through automation and platform engineering.
- Experience applying AI technologies to DevSecOps, security automation, developer productivity, threat detection, or product security initiatives, with an understanding of how AI can help scale security capabilities across the software development lifecycle.
What You'll Get from Us
At Danfoss, you will have the opportunity to shape how product security is implemented across a global engineering organization. You will work with talented colleagues on meaningful technologies that contribute to a more sustainable and digital future. We offer an environment that values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. You will have the freedom to influence security strategy, evaluate emerging technologies, and help define best practices that can be adopted across multiple business units.
You will also gain exposure to a broad technology landscape including embedded systems, IoT platforms, cloud-connected solutions, modern DevSecOps tooling, and next-generation security automation capabilities.
Ready to Make a Difference?
If you are passionate about building secure development environments, automating security at scale, and helping engineering teams deliver secure products with confidence, we would love to hear from you. Even if your experience does not match every qualification listed, we encourage you to apply. Your unique background, skills, and perspective may be exactly what we need.
