PARAEDUCATOR-Behavior FT [INTERNAL USE ONLY]

Job Summary Under the supervision of the principal, the direction of certificated personnel, and in collaboration with support staff, assists all students as directed, with a focus on positive behavior intervention; implements specialized strategies to attain specific IEP/504 goals; assists teachers with routine clerical and non-instructional duties; and does other related work as assigned. • Paraprofessional Testing (Skills Proficiency: Applicant must attach documentation of meeting ESSA Paraprofessional requirements as listed in the Education Section [High school diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or A. A. degree (or higher), or passing CBEST results] OR will be asked to take an examination to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics UNLESS serving or having served in an instructional capacity)
