Machine "SAW" Operator

Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for running the Saw. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Saw operators in this position setup, operate and adjust various types of power saws to cut parts and material to specified lengths and dimensions. - Experienced operating the Horizontal Manual/Automated Feed and Clamp Saw. - Must be able to read measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures. - Operate Overhead cranes and forklifts. - Push pull and lift up to 50 lbs+. - Basic hand tools usage knowledge. - Basic computer skills. - Abide by all safety policies and procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Excellent attendance. - Minimum of 2 years of experience operating metal fabrication equipment. - Understanding and reading of blueprints a must. - Possess knowledge of and ability to identify fabrication industry metals. - Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. - Ability to work well with team members. - Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continual improvement. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: - Two years of experience in a manufacturing - Previous work experience in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing vision protection, steel-toed shoes/boots and other appropriate protective clothing. - - Working Conditions: - Ability to work around common office equipment, supplies and environments. - Must be able to work overtime as needed.
