Systems Engineer – AI Requirements

Work location: Annapolis Junction, MD Work arrangement: Hybrid – on-site with up to 1 day per week telework Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph Applicants must currently hold an active TS/SCI with polygraph. Your next challenge Define, test and deliver AI-enabled features for a mission-critical enterprise application, working side by side with customers and developers. The mission Support an enterprise reporting and dissemination system that is integrating AI-enabled capabilities into mission workflows. What you’ll do

• Elicit and document functional requirements with customers
• Turn requirements into technical specifications, Jira epics and user stories
• Perform hands-on functional validation of new features
• Act as technical liaison across engineers, developers and AI stakeholders
• Present AI approaches and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences
• Take part in Agile delivery across the development lifecycle What you’ll bring
• 6 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• Familiarity with Java or JavaScript frameworks and RESTful microservices
• AWS cloud architecture and deployment
• Requirements elicitation and documentation
• Jira user stories and epics
• Functional testing
• Awareness of modern AI/ML advances Preferred qualifications
• Technical artifacts for AI integration
• Evaluating AI architectures and model performance
• Coordinating AI solutions from concept to deployment Compensation and flexibility $77.31–$85.36 per hour in approximate pay; employer 401(k) contribution is additional. Compensation: The listed range reflects approximate hourly pay across our compensation models and excludes Ctrl+’s employer 401(k) contribution. Your hourly pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, and the compensation model you select. The lower end reflects a no-bonus option with five weeks of PTO; the upper end reflects the Max Rate option without bonus or PTO. Choose from three compensation models: Max Rate, With Bonus, or With Bonus and PTO. Offers include a projected five-year compensation comparison and a package comparison sheet.
