Java Software Engineer – Spring Boot Modernization

Your next challenge Help move a Java system from a traditional Tomcat deployment to a cloud-native Spring Boot, Docker and Kubernetes architecture. The mission Modernize a mission-critical enterprise application and help shape its future architecture. What you’ll do

• Develop, test and maintain Java and Angular applications
• Build RESTful APIs and service integrations
• Develop data access for Oracle, PostgreSQL and other relational databases
• Support migration to Spring Boot, containers and microservices
• Support CI/CD, automated testing and technical documentation
• Provide backup database administration support What you’ll bring
• 7 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Java enterprise development with Spring Boot or similar
• Angular or similar front-end frameworks
• RESTful API design
• Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB or similar databases
• Docker or Podman
• Containerized applications on Kubernetes
• Application modernization
• Technical documentation Preferred qualifications
• Tomcat to Spring Boot migration
• Microservices architectures
• Oracle to PostgreSQL migration
• Rancher, EKS, OpenShift or other Kubernetes platforms
• Helm and core Kubernetes concepts
• GitLab CI/CD, Jira and Confluence
• XML and JSON data processing
• Automated testing and DevSecOps Compensation and flexibility $77.88–$85.99 per hour in approximate pay; employer 401(k) contribution is additional. Compensation: The listed range reflects approximate hourly pay across our compensation models and excludes Ctrl+’s employer 401(k) contribution. Your hourly pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, and the compensation model you select. The lower end reflects a no-bonus option with five weeks of PTO; the upper end reflects the Max Rate option without bonus or PTO. Choose from three compensation models: Max Rate, With Bonus, or With Bonus and PTO. Offers include a projected five-year compensation comparison and a package comparison sheet.
