Registered Nurse / Telemetry

Job Summary Telemetry Registered Nurse responsible for providing and coordinating care for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring in a post-surgical unit. The role requires cardiac rhythm interpretation, management of intravenous cardiac medications, and delivery of comprehensive nursing interventions addressing patients’ physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs. • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; valid California Registered Nurse license; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; EKG interpretation proficiency; prior travel nursing experience; experience caring for telemetry patients; proficiency administering intravenous cardiac medications, heparin, and insulin infusions.
• Schedule: Day shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with on-call availability as needed.
• Additional Information: Provides care in a hybrid telemetry and medical-surgical setting. Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to rhythm changes, administering intravenous cardiac medications, and coordinating care for adult and geriatric patients. The Registered Nurse may float to other telemetry or medical-surgical units based on operational needs.
