• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA); minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week; weekend requirement of 4 weekends in a 6-week schedule and holiday requirement of 1 major and 1 minor holiday.
• Additional Information: The role supports a 12-bed progressive care unit with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1. Patient populations include medical, neurosurgical, cardiac, and post-cardiac catheterization cases. Responsibilities include titrating infusions such as nicardipine and diltiazem, managing patients with continuous positive airway pressure, bilevel positive airway pressure, and high-flow oxygen, and troubleshooting related equipment. Navy scrubs are required, and unit-specific orientation consists of 1–2 shifts.
