Job Summary Step Down Unit Nurse, located in the specified healthcare facility, is responsible for providing specialized care to adult oncology and trauma patients in an acute care setting. • Position Description: Responsible for delivering high-quality care to adult Oncology and Trauma patients within an 18-bed unit. Must pass a clinical interview and manager interview, including a pass/fail exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS; Education Requirements: Registered nurse licensure; Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field; Location Requirements: Within 50 miles of the facility; Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: ONS/ONCC certification (current preferred, not required).
• Additional Information: The role includes occasional float to other Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) units, with responsibilities for titrating insulin and Cardizem drips, managing high-flow respiratory equipment, and utilizing EMR systems. Orientation consists of two days of unit training. The team emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and respect for a diverse patient population.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA); Min Experience Required: 2 years.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid license to submit and a driver’s license to verify distance compliance.
