Registered Nurse / Step Down Unit

Job Summary Registered Nurse, Step Down - Fort Smith, Arkansas. • Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience caring for patients following cardiovascular surgery and stroke
• Ability to titrate cardiac drips, including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, and esmolol
• Experience with bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) and Airvo systems
• Ability to recognize patient deterioration
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, with weekend coverage every other weekend.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position supports a 16-bed unit caring for a mix of step-down and medical-surgical patients, including post-operative, cardiovascular, neurological, stroke, and respiratory cases. Team-oriented collaboration is expected. Black scrubs are required; hoodies are not permitted.
