Job Summary Registered Nurse, Step Down Unit. This night-shift role provides care for cardiovascular patients, including those recovering from cardiac procedures and open-heart surgery, as well as patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology needs. The position requires strong cardiac knowledge, electrocardiogram comfort, and the ability to float to similar units. Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Assignment dates are 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
• Required Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of step-down experience
• Cardiac care proficiency
• Comfort interpreting electrocardiograms
• Current Michigan nursing license
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Travel assignment experience
• Willingness to float to similar units
• Additional Information:
• Provides care for patients undergoing or recovering from procedures such as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, MitraClip, stent placement, and biventricular pacemaker implantation.
• Cares for patients approximately 18–24 hours after open-heart surgery.
• Supports patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology study needs.
• An attendance policy applies to scheduled shifts.
• A nursing skills checklist completed within the previous year is required.
