Job Summary Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician - Location not specified. The Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician supports acute-care surgical services across orthopedic, general, gynecologic, trauma, total joint, ear, nose, and throat, podiatric, urologic, and robotic procedures. • Schedule: Variable 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–9:30 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room scrub experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• DORA certification for Colorado
• Colorado license required for submission
• Additional Information:
• Supports orthopedic, general, gynecologic, trauma, total joint, ear, nose, and throat, podiatric, urologic, and robotic procedures.
• Average daily caseload is 8–10 cases.
• Weeknight call is required approximately 5–6 times during a 6-week period.
• Weekend call coverage includes 36 hours during a 6-week period.
• Holiday call coverage includes one holiday.
• Call response time is 30 minutes.
• Scrubs are provided on site.
• An on-site house supervisor is available during designated evening, overnight, and weekend hours.
• Charting is completed in EPIC.
