Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician/Operating Rm Tech

Job Summary Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician, ORT. The position supports surgical procedures and operating room activities in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include providing surgical technology support for general surgery cases, with additional experience in trauma and specialty surgical services preferred. Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
• Completion of a surgical technology, operating room technician, or comparable training program.
• Association of Surgical Technologists Certification (NBSTA), or evidence of completion of a surgical technology program for candidates without certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Health Care Professional (HCP) cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification valid for the duration of the assignment.
• Three or more years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician in a large academic medical center with Level I trauma designation.
• General surgery experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in trauma, orthopedics, gynecology, ear, nose, and throat, neurological, and cardiac surgical services.
• Additional Information:
• The role supports surgical services within a Level I trauma environment.
• Candidates may be assigned to operating room cases involving general surgery and other specialty procedures based on organizational needs.
