Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician/Operating Rm Tech

Job Summary Surgical Technician, Operating Room (OR) - St. Louis, Missouri. This position supports surgical procedures by preparing supplies and instrumentation, assisting with patient care, and managing the disposition or decontamination of surgical materials. The role requires the ability to scrub neurological cases, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and participate in call coverage as needed. Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• High school education and some college.
• At least 2 years of experience.
• Previous healthcare experience.
• Ability to scrub neurological cases.
• Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment, navigate multiple computer systems, solve problems effectively, and provide quality care in an operating room setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Additional Information:
• Coordinates supplies and instrumentation required for surgical procedures according to established policies and procedures.
• Assists with patient care planning, interventions, and outcomes.
• Performs disposition and decontamination of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Call coverage is required as needed.
• Black scrubs are required.
• Influenza vaccination is required for travelers from November 1 through April 1; exemptions require approval from the facility.
