Job Summary Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech, Operating Room, Portland, Maine. The Surgical Technician will support general surgery procedures in a busy Level One Trauma Center. The position requires expertise in surgical technology, exceptional patient care, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience, including Level One Trauma Center experience; prior travel experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with general surgery, genitourinary and gynecologic procedures, orthopedic trauma, orthopedic joint procedures, neurosurgery, ear, nose, and throat procedures, pediatrics, plastics, dental procedures, and endovascular procedures.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include supporting general surgery, robotics, pediatric, burn, trauma, Whipple, and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy procedures. Competency with robotic systems is required. Overnight trauma call from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. may be assigned, with specialty team call scheduled according to team requirements. The role requires flexibility, accountability, timeliness, and effective teamwork.
