Job Summary Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician – ORT. The position supports orthopedic surgical services with a strong orthopedic and total joint background. The role requires prior travel experience, a 12-hour day schedule, and participation in required call coverage. Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Two years of experience in the relevant specialty; strong orthopedic background; total joint experience; prior travel experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTA, the only accepted certifying body; active Virginia license or proof of Virginia licensure application.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Required call coverage includes one to two weekday overnight call shifts per week from 7:15 PM to 6:45 AM, plus three 24-hour weekend call shifts every six weeks on Saturdays and Sundays. A 30-minute call response time is required. Orientations occur every other Monday. Approved COVID-19 and influenza declinations are accepted.
