Operating Room Tech / Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary:

Sterile Processing Technician in Arkansas. This role involves decontaminating, inspecting, sterilizing, and assembling surgical instruments and equipment to ensure safety and functionality. The position requires adherence to manufacturer instructions and proper documentation to support patient care operations.

Job Details:

• Certifications required include BLS and CRCST or CSPDT Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
• Education requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Location requirements: Candidates must be available to work nights.
• Years of experience: 5+ years preferred.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 36 hours per week, with a variable shift plan (either 9:00AM-5:30PM split shift or 2:30PM-11:00PM evening shift).
• Responsibilities include decontaminating, inspecting, function testing, assembling, disinfecting, sterilizing instrumentation and equipment, including following detailed manufacturer instructions, handling sterilization equipment properly, and maintaining accurate logs and records.
• Knowledge of general surgical instruments and ability to assemble and prepare specialty items is essential.
